Dr. Wes Clayden
Dr. Wes Clayden was born and raised in Woodbridge, Ontario and completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of British Columbia before attending the University of Toronto for his family medicine residency. He then completed a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine through Western University at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic and received his Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Clayden has worked as Team Physician for the Canada Basketball Junior Men’s National Team, including at the 2017 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup. He has also provided medical coverage for various national sporting events, serves as an orthopedic surgical assistant at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, and runs a consultant primary care sports medicine practice at Peak to Shore Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine in Collingwood.
Additionally, he has worked across Canada and in New Zealand as a family and urgent care physician for many years and opened his family practice in Wasaga Beach in 2020. He is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents through the Rural Ontario Medical Program and holds academic appointments at both the University of Toronto and McMaster University. Furthermore, he is the Rural Rotation Lead for the University of Toronto Primary Care Sports Medicine Enhanced Skills program. He has lectured at primary sports medicine conferences, serves as lead faculty and lecturer for the CASTED: Primary Care course (https://casted.ca/casted-primary-care/), and is a medical editor of www.sportmedschool.com. He is an ex-varsity golfer and also enjoys hiking, snowboarding, basketball, baseball, squash and weight training. He is proud to call Georgian Bay home with his wife Krissy, daughter Ellison, son Bryce, and dog Bondi.
Dr. Kevin Schreiber
Dr. Schreiber was born and raised in Ancaster, Ontario and moved to London, Ontario to complete his Honours Bachelor of Science at Western University. While at Western, he was a member of the Varsity water polo team and was also involved in genetics research. Upon graduation, Dr. Schreiber spent time volunteering and working in various countries (including Fiji and Australia) before moving to Bahrain for Medical School at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He then returned to Canada to attend the Northern Ontario School of Medicine for his Family Medicine residency in Muskoka and Sudbury.
Dr. Schreiber and his wife, Dr. Jordan McKee (who is a dentist in Creemore) then moved to Collingwood, where Jordan grew up. He started his Family Medicine practice at Mosley Medical Centre in November of 2020. When he is not at the clinic, Dr. Schreiber works at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital as a hospitalist treating in-patients. He is also actively involved in teaching medical students, and holds an Adjunct Professor position at McMaster University and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
Dr. Schreiber and his wife have two young children, Malcolm and Grey. The Schreiber family loves the endless outdoor activities this area has to offer. In Dr. Schreiber’s spare time he enjoys training for triathlons and recently placed 13th in his age group at Ironman Mont Tremblant. He also enjoys golfing, hockey, cycling, skiing and hiking.
